Israeli Army Admits: Khan Younis Ambush Carried Out by Single Palestinian Fighter
The Israeli military has acknowledged that the deadly ambush in Khan Younis, which killed seven of its soldiers, was executed by just one Palestinian fighter, according to investigations reported by webangah News Agency.
The army stated that the Palestinian combatant carried out the operation undetected at close range inside an Israeli armored personnel carrier.
The Qassam Brigades recently announced their accomplished complex ambush against Israeli forces in Gaza, where both the armored vehicle and its occupants were completely engulfed in flames.
“Yesterday we conducted a complex ambush in Khan Younis in southern Gaza that set fire to an Israeli military transport and its crew,” said Qassam. “Our fighters monitored helicopters landing for hours to evacuate casualties and fatalities.”
The Qassam statement emphasized that their fighters first targeted an Israeli armored vehicle using an advanced “Shawaz” explosive precisely planted inside the carrier. The detonation caused complete incineration of the vehicle and all occupants.
During continued operations, Qassam forces successfully struck a second armored vehicle using a “Fedayee Action” explosive near ali ibn Abi Talib Mosque in Ma’an area south of Khan Younis, inflicting heavy damage.
