Gaza Death Toll Rises to 37,347 as Israeli Attacks continue
The Palestinian death toll from ongoing Israeli assaults on Gaza has reached 37,347, according to local sources.
Palestinian media reported fresh casualties in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood of southeast Gaza City today, with residential buildings targeted by heavy artillery fire. The Al Jazeera network confirmed direct hits on civilian structures in Gaza’s Shujaiya district and eastern Khan Younis region.
The government Media Office in Gaza issued a statement condemning Israel’s persistent attacks on refugee centers and shelters. Officials accused the Zionist regime of continuing “organized crimes against civilians and displaced persons” across the enclave.
Since June alone, over 11 shelter centers have suffered direct strikes by Israeli forces. The total number of targeted civilian facilities has now reached 256, with relentless bombardment continuing despite international condemnation.
Over 700,000 displaced people have taken refuge in these facilities.
The Gaza government media office emphasized that most of these centers were originally educational schools intended to provide learning spaces for tens of thousands of students. However, they have now been converted into military targets by the Zionist army-a clear violation of human rights and international law.
The office condemned these crimes, holding the Zionist regime and complicit nations fully responsible for Gaza’s humanitarian catastrophe. It called on the UN Security Council, the international community, and free governments to instantly halt these atrocities, end the blockade, and rebuild Gaza’s destroyed infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the General Committee for Tribal Affairs in Gaza strongly denounced the zionist regime army’s bloody attack on an aid distribution center in Gaza City’s Zaytoun neighborhood-which has so far claimed 13 lives-describing it as part of a broader policy…
The Zionist regime’s purposeful and systematic campaign to starve civilians, spread chaos, and turn aid centers into death traps and detention camps has been condemned.
the statement revealed that as the implementation of the new aid delivery mechanism began, over 500 people have been killed and nearly 4,000 injured, while the fate of approximately 40 individuals remains unknown.
The local authority emphasized that the Zionist regime’s attacks on food distribution centers and humanitarian supply points constitute clear acts of genocide and war crimes, aimed at breaking civilian morale and forcing either surrender or mass displacement.
The body held the occupying regime fully responsible for these brutal massacres. It called on the international community, the United Nations, the Security Council, and human rights organizations to fulfill their legal and moral obligations by demanding an immediate halt to this genocidal war and securing safe humanitarian corridors for unconditional aid access.
The statement concluded by affirming that the nation will never surrender, continuing to uphold its legitimate rights despite siege, war, and hunger.
Munir al-Bursh, Director-General of Gaza’s Ministry of Health, warned in an interview with Al-Aqsa TV that the Israeli occupation regime is exploiting new humanitarian aid distribution mechanisms in Gaza as traps for mass killings and tools for forced displacement.
Condemning the international community’s silence toward these crimes, he added: Gaza’s medical centers face catastrophic conditions, grappling with severe shortages of medicines and medical equipment.
Al-Bursh further cautioned that Israel’s ongoing blockade of medicines and vaccines has led to outbreaks of perilous diseases among civilians. He reported widespread cases of infectious diseases, acute bloody diarrhea, and meningitis in Gaza.
He emphasized that the water crisis has also reached a critical stage, with over 90% of Gaza’s residents suffering from water insecurity.
The official stressed that the water crisis has escalated to a dire level, leaving more than 90% of Gaza’s population without reliable access to safe drinking water.
