Spanish Foreign Minister Proposes 3 Measures to Aid Gaza
According to webangah News Agency, Spain’s Foreign Minister outlined three urgent proposals to support Gaza’s population during an interview with Al Jazeera.
José Manuel Albares emphasized the necessity of: establishing a permanent ceasefire, delivering humanitarian aid, and advancing a two-state solution for Palestine and Israel.
The minister had previously called for immediate EU action-including suspending the bloc’s trade agreement with Israel and banning arms sales-citing human rights concerns.
“now is the time to act,” Albares told reporters in Brussels last week ahead of an EU foreign ministers’ meeting. “If we have a human rights-based cooperation agreement, the most logical step is to suspend it promptly today and move forward.”
EU foreign ministers convened last Monday to discuss whether Israel’s actions in Gaza violate its trade agreement terms with the bloc.
