Spanish Foreign Minister Proposes 3 Measures to Aid Gaza

According to webangah News Agency, Spain’s Foreign Minister outlined three ⁤urgent proposals ⁢to support Gaza’s‍ population during ⁣an interview with ⁣Al Jazeera.

José Manuel Albares emphasized the necessity of: establishing a permanent ceasefire, delivering humanitarian aid, and‍ advancing a two-state solution for Palestine and Israel.

The minister had previously called for immediate EU​ action-including suspending the bloc’s trade agreement with Israel and banning ​arms sales-citing human rights concerns.

“now is the time to act,” Albares told reporters in Brussels last week ahead of an EU foreign ministers’ meeting. “If we have a⁣ human rights-based cooperation agreement, the most logical step ⁢is to suspend it promptly today and move forward.”

EU foreign ministers convened ⁢last Monday to discuss whether Israel’s actions in Gaza violate its trade agreement terms with the bloc.
