Pakistan: We Stood with Iran During Conflict with Tel Aviv
Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif reiterated his country’s firm backing of Iran amid its war with israel during an interview with Al-Sharq on Sunday, according to webangah News Agency.

He emphasized that middle East tensions will only be resolved through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty, calling the current situation in Gaza “genocide.” The minister criticized Israel’s hardline cabinet for refusing to heed international demands.
Regarding regional tensions,Asif warned that renewed military conflict with India remains possible: “While Pakistan doesn’t seek new hostilities in South Asia and welcomes diplomatic solutions,we remain prepared to respond to any provocation. Our goal is lasting peace.”
The defense minister specifically cautioned against threats to the Indus Water Treaty, stating any violation by India could trigger renewed warfare between the nuclear-armed neighbors.
On military capabilities, Asif disclosed Pakistan operates Chinese JF-10 and JF-17 fighters alongside American and French aircraft but stressed China remains its primary arms supplier.He dismissed as “absurd” claims about Chinese interference in Pakistan-India conflicts.
