Key Agendas in Erdoğan and UAE President Talks
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone on Sunday with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
The Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidency stated that during the call, Erdoğan said: “With a vision for a Turkey free from terrorism, we have taken steps to remove terrorism from both Turkey’s and the region’s agenda.”
Erdoğan added that positive effects of the strategic partnership between Turkey and the UAE are evident across all sectors. He highlighted that both countries hold important potential in areas such as defense industries and new technologies.
The Turkish president also remarked that Ankara is closely monitoring peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia taking place in Abu Dhabi. He affirmed Turkey’s ongoing support for efforts aimed at maintaining stability in the Caucasus region.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his belief that Turkey’s goal to eliminate terrorism will significantly contribute to regional security. He also voiced hope for Turkey’s successful completion of this process.
