Trump: 10 Israeli Prisoners to Be Released Soon

According to the English section of webangah‌ News ⁢Agency,⁣ citing Mehr News Agency and Times of ​Israel, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that 10 Israeli prisoners held by Hamas will⁣ be released soon.

Speaking at a dinner with lawmakers at⁢ the White House, Trump praised the efforts of steve Whitcok, the U.S. special⁢ envoy to West Asia,while making this assertion.

Israeli and⁣ Hamas negotiators have been holding their latest round of ceasefire talks⁤ in Doha, Qatar’s capital, since July 6. They are discussing a U.S. proposal for‍ a 60-day ceasefire, the release of ⁢10 Israeli prisoners, and handing over the bodies of 18 others.

Trump said: “We have recovered most of the hostages (prisoners). We intend to receive another⁣ 10 ‌soon and hope to finalize it quickly.”
