CIA Headquarters Website Hacked
News sources report a cyberattack on the Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) website.
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russian news agency Sputnik, reported that The Washington Times announced a cyberattack targeting the CIA’s main website.
According to these sources, hackers gained access to sensitive technology information and intellectual property related to several of the CIA’s innovative espionage programs.
The United States National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), responsible for managing the site’s technical operations, confirmed the breach.
The attack aimed at extracting CIA intellectual property and, experts warn, could have significant repercussions for U.S. intelligence security.
