Cambodia Calls for Unconditional Ceasefire with Thailand
Cambodia demands an immediate, unconditional ceasefire with Thailand.
According to Mehr News Agency citing Agence France-Presse, chia Keo, Cambodia’s permanent representative to the United Nations, emphasized: “We seek an immediate and unconditional ceasefire and call for a peaceful resolution of disputes.”
This appeal comes as Thailand had previously expressed its readiness to enter into talks.
Meanwhile, Thailand’s Ministry of Health reported that over 138,000 people have been evacuated from border areas following recent clashes.
So far, the fighting has claimed 15 lives-including 14 civilians and one soldier-and injured 46 others, including 15 soldiers.
