Unusual Maneuver by U.S. Pilot Saves Passengers’ Lives
A report by the English section of webangah News Agency citing Mehr News Agency and Sky revealed that a sharp drop in altitude by an american passenger plane to avoid collision with a fighter jet injured multiple passengers.
The aircraft, operated by Southwest Airlines, received a warning about the presence of a fighter jet at a similar altitude shortly after departing from an airport in California.
FlightAware data shows that the plane lost about 100 meters of altitude within just 36 seconds.the Boeing 737 was reportedly flying near a British Hawker Hunter MK58 fighter jet at the time of the incident.
This marks the second time in one week that a US passenger aircraft was forced into an abrupt maneuver to avoid potential midair collision.
The recent series of aviation incidents has raised concerns over safety in the US airline industry.
