Senior Iraqi Officials Condemn Suffering of Gaza Women

At a ceremony in Baghdad, the Prime ​Minister, President, and Speaker‌ of Iraq’s Parliament condemned Israeli actions against women in Gaza, highlighting the international ‍community’s failure to stop Tel Aviv’s crimes.

According to the English section of‍ webangah News agency, citing‌ Iraqi news agency WAFA ‍via Mehr News Agency, Iraq’s Prime Minister‌ Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani spoke at the 17th annual ‍event in‍ baghdad commemorating 1 Muharram⁢ as the “Islamic Day Against Violence Toward Women.” He drew attention to the suffering⁤ of ⁣women under siege⁣ in Gaza, stating: “We refer to the agony of women under blockade in Gaza who endure severe crimes against humanity-including starvation-while the international community shirks its moral and legal responsibilities toward them.”

Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid addressed ongoing atrocities during the ceremony:⁤ “The daily violence and killings targeting the Palestinian ‍peopel-and especially Palestinian women-reveal blatant policies ‍of discrimination and double standards.”

Speaker of Parliament mahmoud Mashhadani added: ⁣”We salute and‌ honor Gaza’s women for exposing all⁣ slogans used by Zionist organizations worldwide. These are those who have deafened our ears with talk about women’s rights; now their disgrace ⁢has been revealed.”
