Ceasefire in Southern Syria Violated

Syrian sources report a ceasefire⁢ violation in southern Syria, ⁤with‌ tribal armed groups targeting⁢ a specific area.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and al Mayadeen, Syrian sources have ⁢reported that tribal groups⁣ violated the ceasefire in southern Syria.

The Syrian‌ Observatory for Human Rights stated that tribal armed groups breached the ceasefire in As-Suwayda by targeting​ the Tal al-Hadid area in southwestern As-Suwayda.

Tensions​ escalated‌ on July 13 following clashes between armed tribal factions and druze ⁣militants in As-Suwayda⁢ province. The violence‌ erupted after ⁤Bedouin Arab tribes abducted a‌ Druze man and ​seized his vehicle.

On ⁣July 15, ‍Syrian public security forces and the army entered the⁤ city, but‍ the spiritual leadership of SyriaS‍ druze community reported serious violations against its members and called for immediate international⁢ protection to halt thes actions.

The​ Israeli regime, claiming to support⁣ the Druze, launched attacks on Syrian military vehicles heading toward As-Suwayda province.

On July 16, Israel bombed several strategic locations in Damascus, including⁣ the Syrian Armed⁤ Forces General Staff building.Israel described this strike as a direct message ‍to Damascus.

Following these attacks, Syria’s Ministry of ⁤Defense announced on the same‍ day its complete withdrawal from As-Suwayda province under ⁤a ⁤ceasefire agreement.
