Lebanese Army Issues Statement on Downing of Israeli Grenade-Carrier Drone
the Lebanese Army, in a statement reported by the English section of webangah News Agency citing Mehr News Agency and Al-nashra, confirmed the crash of an Israeli military quadcopter carrying grenades in the village of meiss al-Jabal, southern Lebanon.
The lebanese Army’s statement reads: ”Continuing its attacks and violations of Lebanon’s sovereignty, on July 26, 2025, an Israeli drone carrying hand grenades crashed in Kharaj Baladeh area of Meiss al-Jabal-Marjeyoun district in southern lebanon.”
The army added that a patrol secured the area around the crash site, detonated the grenade found onboard, and transferred the drone to the relevant unit for investigation and necessary measures.
Hezbollah Member Assassination Claim
Simultaneously, Avichay Adraee, spokesperson for the Israeli military, claimed that Ali Abdulkader Ismail from Hezbollah’s Bint jbeil unit was targeted and killed in this airstrike by Israel.
Adraee alleged that Ismail was working to rebuild Hezbollah’s capabilities in Bint Jbeil and accused him of violating agreements between Israel and Lebanon.
226 Assassination Operations since Ceasefire
An Israeli media outlet, Maariv, reported that since the ceasefire took affect, Israel has conducted 226 assassination operations.
New Drone Attack by Israel Targets Southern Lebanon
This comes just moments before another Israeli drone targeted Dabaaal town in southern Lebanon.
Since the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah took effect early Wednesday morning on November 28th, 2024-brokered through international mediation-the Israeli occupying forces have repeatedly violated it. These violations have caused several fatalities and injuries among Lebanese civilians.
A few days ago,Sheikh Naim Qassem,Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah Lebanon stated that as implementing this ceasefire with Israel’s regime there have been approximately 3,700 violations committed by Israel alone.
