Security Measures Implemented on a Key Route for Iranian Pilgrims in Iraq
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al-Malouma via Mehr News Agency, the Popular Mobilization forces (PMF) command in Diyala has devised a comprehensive security plan for Hussaini pilgrims. The implementation order was issued simultaneously with the start of pilgrim movement from the al-Mundhariya border crossing.
Sadiq al-Husseini, a PMF commander in Iraq, emphasized that the security operation began as thousands of pilgrims crossed from al-Mundhariya within the past 48 hours.The plan secures land routes, makeshift rest areas (mukhtars), and surrounding regions with thousands of deployed forces dedicated to its execution.
Diyala Province is one of the main routes through which hundreds of thousands of Iranian pilgrims pass en route to holy shrines during Arbaeen commemorations.
