Deadly Floods in Pakistan Leave Over 1,000 Dead and Injured
Pakistani officials report over one thousand casualties amid recent deadly floods in the country.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency and Al-Maloumeh, Pakistani authorities announced on Sunday that the deadly floods which began in late June have claimed at least 299 lives.
The report states that at least 140 children have died due to the flooding. Pakistan Television confirmed that an additional 715 people have been injured. Meanwhile, 1,676 homes sustained damage during the disaster.
Furthermore, 2,889 residents from flood-affected areas have been evacuated as rescue and relief operations continue.
