Islamic Jihad Condemns the Dream of a “Greater Israel

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement responded to the so-called “Greater ⁤Israel” dream.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Palestine al-Yom, the Palestinian Islamic jihad Movement issued ‍a statement⁤ condemning Israeli Finance minister‍ Bezalel Smotrich’s call to annex the West Bank, occupy ⁣Gaza, and expand settlement construction-especially⁣ in area E1 near Ma’ale Adumim close to Jerusalem. The statement described these as primary objectives pursued by this criminal regime⁤ through mass killings and heinous crimes against humanity.

The statement added that Israel’s stance on the “Greater ⁢israel” plan delivers ‍a harsh blow to those who had hoped for any possibility of reaching an agreement with this rejected regime.

Islamic Jihad⁣ emphasized that the world ⁤now⁢ clearly sees these positions and‍ policies as the ‌real reasons behind continued massacres ‍in Gaza and repeated ⁤destruction of refugee camps in the west Bank. These ⁢acts occur with full backing from the Trump management and aim not only at expanding occupation inside Palestine but also encroachment into neighboring countries at ‌the⁣ cost of Arab civilians’ lives.

It⁤ is worth ⁢noting that ⁤Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ‌recently ⁣revived debate over Tel Aviv’s⁤ expansionist‍ ambitions⁢ during a televised interview, stressing his emotional connection to the “Greater ⁣Israel” dream. His remarks sparked widespread‌ criticism.

In an interview ⁢with i24 news channel, Netanyahu claimed: “I am on a historic and spiritual mission and emotionally tied to the greater Israel vision!”

Simultaneously occurring, Bezalel ⁢Smotrich announced plans for building⁤ 3,401 new housing units in area ‍E1 ‍within Ma’ale Adumim near Jerusalem in the West Bank.He stated ⁢this project aims to bury ‍any prospects for an ‍self-reliant ‍Palestinian state.

The hardline minister explained that Netanyahu’s ⁣cabinet⁣ intends this development-which ⁤includes more than 3,400 new homes connecting Ma’ale Adumim-to‍ sever ties ⁢between Ramallah and Bethlehem.
