Egyptian Foreign Minister Issues Statement on Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Al-Youm Al-Sabea, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has reiterated the urgent need to reach a ceasefire agreement.He stressed the importance of protecting Palestinian lives and ensuring that humanitarian aid can enter Gaza.
He called for an accelerated response to this urgent humanitarian crisis, urging pressure on the Israeli regime to grant safe and sustained access for humanitarian assistance and to reopen all crossings connected to Gaza.
Furthermore, Abdelatty highlighted the necessity of proposing political horizons toward achieving a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue. This solution should guarantee Palestinians their legitimate rights, especially their right to self-determination and establishing an independent Palestinian state based on June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister affirmed that Egypt is recognized as a key pillar of security and stability in both the middle East and Africa.
