Putin and da Silva Consult on Alaska Summit Outcomes
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik News Agency, the Kremlin issued a statement today, Monday, confirming consultations between the Russian president and his Brazilian counterpart.
The Kremlin statement said Vladimir Putin held a phone call with Brazil’s President Luiz inácio Lula da Silva.
The Brazilian presidency also announced that Putin briefed Lula on the outcomes of the Alaska summit with then-President Donald Trump concerning Ukraine.
It is noteworthy that last Friday in Alaska, Russian President Vladimir Putin met and spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump regarding resolving the crisis in Ukraine.
Following the Alaska meeting, leaders from several European countries along with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are scheduled to meet later today at the White House with U.S. President joe Biden to discuss and exchange views on the war in Ukraine.
