Ben-Gvir and Smotrich Threaten to Resign from Netanyahu’s Cabinet Again
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, the Hebrew-language newspaper Maariv reported that sources close to Itamar ben-Gvir, Israel’s Minister of Internal Security, and Bezalel Smotrich, Israel’s Finance Minister, stated that these two ministers have decided they will resign from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet if he seeks a partial ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
The newspaper added that their resignation threat is not merely rhetoric but a serious warning.
This report comes as the Israeli daily Haaretz also noted that Netanyahu appears to be actively working behind the scenes to persuade Ben-Gvir and Smotrich not to undermine efforts toward reaching an agreement.
