according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Arabiya, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan emphasized at the 21st Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers’ meeting in Jeddah that the Palestinian people are currently subjected to one of the most atrocious genocides due to ongoing Israeli attacks.
He highlighted Israel’s blatant and unprecedented violations of international law, stating that global silence on these crimes exacerbates the situation and threatens regional and international peace and security.
Bin Farhan called on the international community to take tangible steps toward ending settler crimes, halting Israel’s occupation policies in Gaza City, and stopping settlement expansion plans.
The Saudi foreign minister stressed that these actions hinder the peace process while escalating regional and international tensions.
He reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s consistent position on Palestine, declaring Riyadh’s full support for Palestinian rights to establish an independent state based on 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Bin Farhan described a two-state solution as a just option for achieving stability.
He also warned that continued Israeli violence against civilians and impunity jeopardizes global peace and security.
The minister urged countries doubtful about condemning Israeli offenses to reconsider their position. He noted an increasing number of nations recognizing Palestine reflects growing international acknowledgment of its just cause.
