Australian police report the death of two officers during a shooting in the northeast of the country.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and The Guardian, two police officers were killed in a shooting incident in Victoria, located in northeastern Australia.
The Australian 7 News network reported that the incident took place while police were attempting to execute a search warrant at an address in the town of Porepunkah.
The suspect reportedly took his wife and children hostage before fleeing the scene armed.
Police confirmed the deaths of two officers and stated that another officer was shot in the leg and remains in critical condition.
