Tel Aviv Responds to Extensive Egyptian Troop Deployment in Sinai Desert

The English section ‌of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency ⁢and Al Jazeera, reported that Israeli military sources quoted an army spokesperson claiming that the deployment of ⁤Egyptian troops ​in the Sinai Desert is coordinated⁣ with Tel aviv under the 1979 ​peace agreement.

Thes remarks came in response to media reports about a significant Egyptian military buildup⁤ in​ northern ​Sinai.

Earlier reports indicated that around‌ 42,000 Egyptian soldiers had been stationed there along with 1,500 ⁤tanks and other military equipment. Military bases and‌ air‌ defense systems near ⁤the Gaza border‍ have also⁢ been reinforced.
