Former Israeli Air Defense Commander: We Must Not Underestimate Yemen
The former commander of the Israeli air defense force acknowledged that Israel should not underestimate the threats posed by Yemen. He described underestimating these threats as a serious mistake.
He admitted that Israel’s defense system is unreliable and pointed out that recent attacks targeted Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion Airport.
Yesterday, the Hebrew-language site Walla also recognized that Yemen’s Ansarallah movement has succeeded in dragging Israel into a war of attrition. The Yemenis have set conditions for ending this conflict: as long as attacks on Gaza continue,missile launches and drone strikes from Yemen will persist.
The report further states that the Yemeni forces control both the intensity and scope of their attacks. After each strike against Yemen, Tel Aviv hopes to shift the balance of power against Yemeni armed forces but it becomes clear that nothing changes.
