US Adopts Belligerent Stance on Possible Military Attack Against Venezuela

The White House stated that President Trump is prepared to use the full military power of the United States to combat drug trafficking, amid reports ⁢of a⁤ potential attack on Venezuela, according to ⁤the ⁢English section of webangah ‌News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today.

russia Today previously reported that Venezuela‍ is undergoing a recruitment campaign following escalating U.S. military movements against this Latin American nation. On‍ Saturday and Sunday, Venezuela conducted an extensive census and recruitment drive ⁢for the Bolivarian National Militia, which unites nearly 4.5 million militia members nationwide.

This initiative⁢ comes at the request of President Nicolás‍ Maduro amid ⁤conflicting statements from washington, which‍ has not ruled out military operations ‍on Venezuelan soil. The census and‍ recruiting efforts for the national militia are taking place⁤ in military units, ‍15,700 local popular defence posts throughout the country, as well as central city squares.
