Yemen Appoints Acting Prime Minister Following Al-Rahwi’s Assassination
Following teh assassination of Yemen’s Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi in a recent Israeli attack, the Chairman of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council appointed Mohammed Muftah as the acting Prime Minister.
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al-Masirah via Mehr News Agency, reported that Mahdi al-Mashat, chairman of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, issued a decree appointing a successor to the late Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi in Sanaa.
Mohammed Ahmed Muftah, First Deputy Prime Minister, was named acting Prime Minister.
A few moments ago, Yemen’s presidency released a statement confirming that Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi was killed in last Thursday’s Israeli attack.
