Maritime Executive Amazed by Yemen Operation 1,000 Kilometers Away
The English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and Al-Masirah, reported that the maritime website Maritime Executive showed Automatic Identification System (AIS) data indicating that the Israeli ship Scarlett Ray was near Yanbu’s harbor. Its navigation signals had been disrupted for weeks.
The report added that since noon last Sunday, no signals have been transmitted from the Israeli vessel.
Maritime Executive acknowledged that the location where this ship was hit lies more than 600 nautical miles,or 1,111 kilometers,away from Yemen.
Yemeni armed forces issued a statement last night announcing thier attack on the Israeli oil tanker scarlett Ray in northern Red Sea waters.
The statement said that “this naval operation was carried out with a ballistic missile and, by God’s grace, directly hit this Israeli ship.”
It added: “We will continue to support the Palestinian people by preventing movement of Israeli ships or ships heading to ports in occupied Palestine.”
