A bus carrying local tourists plunged into a deep ravine in Sri Lanka, leaving at least 15 dead.
A bus carrying local tourists fell into a ravine in Sri Lanka,killing at least 15 people,according to webangah News Agency, citing AFP and Mehr News Agency.
The police reported that the accident occurred in the mountainous area of Ella, about 130 kilometers east of Sri Lanka’s capital. the bus plummeted nearly 300 meters into the ravine.
Authorities added that 16 others were injured. the bus was returning from a holiday trip to cooler regions when it crashed after colliding with another vehicle.
Earlier in May, a separate bus accident occurred in the village of Kothmale, resulting in 23 deaths.
