Egypt’s Foreign Minister Consults on Iran Nuclear Issue
According to webangah News Agency, Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, held a phone conversation with his italian counterpart to consult on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and issues related to Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.
Shoukry emphasized Egypt’s firm opposition to the displacement of Palestinians from their land. He called for efforts toward establishing a Palestinian state based on international agreements.
The Egyptian minister informed Italy’s Foreign Minister about Cairo’s ongoing contacts aimed at facilitating the resumption of negotiations between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency.He also highlighted attempts to bridge differences and open channels for political solutions and dialogue.
He added that Egypt is working toward a permanent solution that considers the interests of all parties to promote regional security and stability.
