Sudani: Attack on Qatar Threatens Regional and Global Security
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Iraqi Prime Minister’s Office website, Mohammed Shia Al Sudani, Iraq’s prime Minister, strongly condemned Israel’s aggression against qatari territory during a phone call with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar.
Al Sudani described the attack as a clear violation of Qatar’s national sovereignty, a serious infringement of international law and the UN charter, and a dangerous action aimed at expanding regional conflicts.
He stated that this act threatens regional and international security and puts stability in the region at great risk.
The Iraqi Prime Minister affirmed Iraq’s full solidarity with Qatar and its commitment to protecting the security and safety of its people. He called for a responsible international stance against this aggression.
Al Sudani also announced that Iraq is calling for an urgent meeting of arab foreign ministers and also a joint summit of Arab and Islamic leaders on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
In response, Qatar’s Emir appreciated Iraq’s position and highlighted the deep bilateral relations between both countries along with Iraq’s commitment to supporting regional security and stability.
