Gaza Ministry of Health: We Face Severe Shortage of Medical Supplies
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and the Palestine Facts Center, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported on Sunday that laboratory units and blood banks in hospitals across the area are experiencing critical shortages of consumables required for essential medical testing.
The ministry emphasized that laboratory solutions necessary for assessing blood electrolytes, blood gases, CBC (complete blood count), and virus testing are unavailable. This shortage is preventing healthcare providers from completing required tests for patients and injured individuals.
The Gaza Ministry of Health noted that actions have been taken through the World Health Organization to supply these necessary items, which currently remain in WHO warehouses in the West bank. The ministry called on relevant authorities to urgently intervene to finalize coordination efforts ensuring these laboratory supplies can enter Gaza safely and be accessed securely.
