International Summit in Brazil Supports Iran, Venezuela, and Palestine
Mehr News Agency, International: Initiated and invited by the “Front Against Imperialism” in Brazil, a significant gathering took place at the São Paulo Academy of Sciences. The event saw wide participation from over 50 political parties and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) representing Brazil, Venezuela, Chile, and Cuba.
The meeting opened with a tribute to the martyrs of Iran during Israel’s imposed war against Iran. Under the banner “International Solidarity Against Imperialism and for Peoples’ Sovereignty,” participants reviewed and condemned unilateral aggressive policies and sanctions targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yemen, Cuba. They also expressed their support for the struggles of Palestine and lebanon.
The attendees issued a joint statement emphasizing principles such as the peoples’ right to self-determination, national sovereignty, and resistance against hegemonic powers. The statement declared: “The cruel sanctions against Iran and Venezuela are crimes against humanity. we express our profound solidarity with the people and governments of these countries. Defending Palestinian resistance against Zionist occupation is both a revolutionary duty and a humanitarian obligation for all liberation forces worldwide.”
Representatives held United States policies along with those of its allies responsible for instability in both the Middle East and Latin America.They called for an immediate end to unjust blockades imposed on Cuba and Venezuela.
This summit was hailed by participants as a symbol of global South solidarity that strengthens unity among anti-imperialist movements across two continents-America and Asia.
