First Ship of “Samud” Fleet Departs Port of Sidi Bou Said for Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Mayadeen, the first vessel of the international Samud Fleet has left Tunisia’s Port of Sidi Bou Said en route to Gaza.
Additionally, eight ships from this fleet departed yesterday from the ports of Qammart and Bizerte in northern Tunisia heading toward the Gaza Strip.
Yesterday,organizers of the international Samud (Steadfastness) Fleet also announced that 18 ships had set sail from Catania Port in southern Italy bound for Gaza.
They added that today more vessels are expected to depart from Tunisia and Greece to join these ships in international waters en route to Gaza.
The officials emphasized that the Samud Fleet represents the largest global maritime effort aimed at breaking Israel’s illegal blockade on Gaza. The crews aboard these ships are striving to challenge this blockade through their mission.
