Europe Cornered as Trump Repeats Condition for Russia Sanctions
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Reuters, U.S. President Donald trump stated that European sanctions against Moscow are not strong enough.
Speaking to reporters in New Jersey, Trump said, “The sanctions they impose are not severe enough. I am inclined to impose sanctions myself, but they must tighten their measures to match what I am implementing.”
The U.S. president added that provided that Europe continues purchasing Russian oil, America should not be expected to sanction Moscow.
Earlier, Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social that “I am ready to impose harsh sanctions on Russia provided all NATO countries agree and take similar actions; also all NATO members must stop buying oil from Russia.”
