Ukraine Spy Network Foiled Before Terrorist Attack
The Russian Federal Security service announced the dismantling of a Ukrainian espionage network before carrying out a terrorist attack in Saint Petersburg.
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, reported that the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) revealed today, Thursday, that it had dismantled a ukrainian spy network.
A statement from the FSB said this operation prevented a terrorist attack in Saint Petersburg.
The agency added that the Ukrainian intelligence network planned too carry out a terrorist attack targeting the head of a Russian defense institution.
According to the FSB, perpetrators intended to detonate an improvised bomb placed on this Russian defense official’s vehicle.
