Block Everything’ Movement Protests Resume in France + Video

The second phase of⁣ the “Block Everything” movement in France has once again ⁤brought large numbers of people to the streets.

The English ⁤section of webangah news Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and⁢ RIA Novosti, reports that ​a new wave of⁤ widespread popular protests under the ‍slogan “Block Everything” began across france early Thursday ⁣local ​time.

According to images published by these outlets, many citizens have launched mass demonstrations against financial measures announced by outgoing⁣ Prime Minister François Bayrou.

These measures have not ​been rejected‌ by Bayrou’s ⁣successor, Sébastien Lecornu.

Since this morning, France⁤ has⁢ recorded nearly 400 protest events⁤ involving approximately 20,000 demonstrators.

Police and security forces in ​France are responding harshly to the protesters.

Authorities expect up to 900,000 people to participate in these demonstrations-substantially higher than those on September 10.

According to Al Jazeera, earlier today the French Interior‍ Minister said: “We expect between 600,000 and 900,000 ​people will take part in today’s⁣ protests.” ​So far, security forces have‍ arrested 58 ⁣individuals nationwide, including eleven in Paris.
