Aoun Consults Nawaf Salam and Army Commander on Tel Aviv Attacks in Lebanon
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al-Nashra via Mehr News Agency, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun held consultations with the country’s army commander, Rudolf, regarding Lebanon’s security situation.
Aoun received a report detailing recent attacks by the Israeli regime on certain areas in southern Lebanon.
The president also met with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam to discuss the latest developments and Israeli strikes targeting southern Lebanon and the Beqaa region.
Simultaneously occurring, UNIFIL responded to the Israeli assaults in southern Lebanon, stating that these attacks violate United nations Security Council resolution 1701 and threaten fragile stability.
UNIFIL emphasized that ongoing provocative actions undermine efforts to restore calm and urged all parties to adhere strictly to Resolution 1701.
