Trump: We Will Defend Poland and Baltic States Against Russia
according to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that the United States would defend Poland and the Baltic countries if Russia continues to escalate tensions in the region.
When asked whether he would assist in defending Poland and the Baltic states against Russia should tensions persist,Trump replied,”Yes,I will do that.”
The remarks came before Trump traveled to a memorial ceremony for Charlie Kirk in Glendale, Arizona.
Earlier, Trump referred to EstoniaS claim that three Russian fighter jets violated its airspace as a ”troublesome” incident.
The Estonian Foreign Ministry protested after thes jets allegedly spent 12 minutes inside Estonian airspace by summoning a Russian diplomat.
This occurrence took place just over a week after NATO fighter jets reported shooting down drones attributed to Russia over Poland-an event which heightened concerns about an expansion of the Ukraine conflict.
