Pakistani University Students Issue Statement Supporting Global “Sumood” Caravan
Mehr News Agency, International Desk: Pakistani university students released a statement affirming their support for the global Sumood caravan aimed at breaking the siege on Gaza.
The statement reads as follows:
Today,liberation movements and all advocates of justice across the world have risen to save the people of Gaza from hunger,starvation,and death.
The sumood caravan is leading freedom-loving nations around the globe toward Gaza.
We hope an Asian Sumood caravan will also rise-united in ending Gaza’s blockade, ending occupation, and aiding the oppressed people of Gaza. This should be a grassroots and freedom-driven movement composed of all Asian nations regardless of political or religious views and inclusive of every color and ethnicity across this vast continent.
This effort requires Asian governments to uphold their social credibility by supporting this caravan with security assistance and other facilitation measures.
Simultaneously occurring, it is indeed essential that this caravan operates fully independently from governments. Those capable of publicizing its activities or raising funds to purchase goods in support of Sumood’s allies should participate. Artists,university professors and students,writers,freedom-minded parliamentarians,economic activists,and journalists represent an ideal community to form this initiative.
The individuals joining this movement must embrace a vision for liberty while preparing themselves for any hardships-including hunger, poor sanitation illness-and even death-all in pursuit of freedom.
Accordingly, we call upon all human rights media outlets; Asian nations; bloggers; journalists capable of mobilizing popular participation; securing financial resources; documenting each stage-to work diligently toward establishing and launching this life-saving Asian Sumood caravan fleet.
Victory belongs to freedom seekers worldwide. The future is shared by all peoples-with god’s will-and true liberty ahead.
