According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, U.S. President Donald Trump has signed an executive order officially listing the anti-fascist movement (Antifa) as a terrorist organization.
The White House statement reads: “Antifa is a militarized anarchist group that openly calls for the overthrow of the United States government, law enforcement agencies, and our legal system. The group employs illegal methods to organize and carry out campaigns of violence and terrorism across the country to achieve these goals.”
The statement continues: “This campaign includes coordinated efforts to obstruct federal law enforcement thru armed confrontations wiht police forces, organizing riots, violent attacks on Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers as well as other law enforcement agents, and threatening or publicly exposing personal data (doxing) of political figures and activists.”
Further in the statement: “Antifa recruits, trains, and radicalizes American youth for participation in these violent acts and political repression. It then uses complex methods to conceal its members’ identities, hide financial resources and operations in order to evade law enforcement efforts, while continuously recruiting new members. individuals associated with or acting on behalf of Antifa coordinate with other organizations to expand, incite, and advance political violence aimed at suppressing lawful political discourse.”
Quoting President Trump directly from the declaration: “Due to this pattern of politically motivated violence designed to suppress lawful political activities and hinder law enforcement functions, I hereby designate Antifa as a ‘domestic terrorist organization.’ All relevant departments and executive agencies must use all available legal authorities to investigate, disrupt, dismantle any unlawful operations-especially those involving terrorist acts-conducted by Antifa or any person claiming association with it. This includes all necessary investigative and judicial actions against financial supporters enabling such operations.”
