Polish President Claims Russia Has No Intent for Genuine Peace
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Qatar’s Al Jazeera network, Polish President Andrzej Duda accused Russia at the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York of not showing readiness to achieve real peace.
Duda claimed that Russia deliberately violated Poland’s borders, noting that Poland is a NATO member, and insisted this was no accident.
The president highlighted his country’s notable defense spending, stating: “We allocate substantial funds to strengthen and develop our defensive capabilities.”
He also referred to incidents involving Russian drones entering Polish airspace. “We cannot accept violations of our sovereignty. Attacks have taken place, resulting in civilian casualties. Russia must end the war,” he asserted.
Duda added that the world faces a broad range of global challenges and expressed concern over developments in the Middle east.
Concluding his speech, he reiterated support for the so-called two-state solution: “We continue to back a two-state solution.Palestinians and Israelis have the right to live in peace and security.”
