Polish President Accuses Russia of failing to ⁢Pursue Genuine Peace

According⁢ to the English section⁢ of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr ⁣News Agency ⁤and ⁤Qatar’s Al Jazeera⁤ network, Polish President Andrzej ⁣Duda accused Russia at the 80th United Nations General Assembly ‌in New York of not showing readiness to achieve​ real peace.

Duda claimed ⁢that Russia deliberately violated Poland’s borders, noting that Poland is a NATO member, and insisted this was no accident.

The president highlighted his country’s notable defense spending, stating: “We allocate substantial funds to‍ strengthen and develop⁢ our defensive capabilities.”

He⁢ also referred to incidents involving Russian⁢ drones entering Polish airspace. “We cannot accept violations of ​our sovereignty. Attacks‍ have taken place, resulting in civilian casualties. ‍Russia must end the war,” he ⁤asserted.

Duda added that the world faces a‌ broad range of global challenges and expressed concern over ‌developments in the Middle east.

Concluding his speech, he reiterated support for the​ so-called two-state solution: “We continue⁢ to back a two-state solution.Palestinians and Israelis ⁤have ⁣the right to live ⁢in peace and security.”
