Hamas Responds to Palestine Recognition: Martyr Nasrallah’s Path Continues
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Osama Hamdan, a senior Hamas leader, described countries’ moves to recognize Palestine as a “step in the right direction.” He emphasized that this outcome was driven by the Palestinian people’s resistance, particularly during Operation Al-Aqsa Storm.
However,Hamdan called these actions insufficient and stressed that what is really needed are practical steps-specifically an end to aggression. He noted that such measures should not take the form of imposing guardianship over Palestinians but must involve sanctions against the occupiers.
Hamdan attributed some countries’ recognition moves to their own loss of credibility and moral standing in promoting human values. He warned that certain governments seek to escape sanctions against occupiers by extending formal recognition instead.
In his interview with Al Mayadeen, hamdan referred to Israel’s incursion into Qatar aimed at assassinating hamas leaders. He stressed that as then hamas has sent no messages-neither to former U.S. President Donald Trump nor anyone else.
The Zionists Aim for Regional Control
The Hamas leader explained that Israel’s aggression towards Qatar demonstrated it’s refusal to recognize any borders or sovereignty. He criticized Western pretenses about continuing negotiations as attempts to cover up Israeli crimes in Gaza and insisted it is indeed clear Israel has no genuine intention for a ceasefire. Instead, they are buying time hoping for a political achievement unobtained during two years of aggression.
Hamdan declared: “Anyone who thinks we will make concessions or weaken our resistance is delusional.History confirms resistance has never retreated… Netanyahu is fully mistaken if he believes occupying Gaza Strip constitutes victory.”
Pointing out Israel’s desire to impose its position on neighboring states, he said they aim for regional dominance and called on all actors to take these threats seriously.
The Late Martyr Nasrallah managed Relations Between Hamas and Hezbollah
The senior Hamas official also addressed Hezbollah’s situation following the anniversary of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s death-the late secretary-general-and highlighted a profound relationship between Palestinian resistance and Lebanon’s Islamic resistance movement under Hezbollah’s guidance led by Nasrallah.
Hamdan added that ther have been tangible achievements in resistance as well as undisclosed accomplishments yet awaiting appropriate disclosure.
He outlined three agreed points between Palestinian factions and Hezbollah: resisting Zionist occupation; unity within the Muslim nation; and maintaining Palestine as their central cause.
The Path Laid by Hezbollah Will Continue
Recalling Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah,Hamdan acknowledged ”Nasrallah’s absence has made an impact,” but affirmed: “The martyrdom of leaders will not break our resolve… His absence places responsibility on all of us to continue dismantling the regime and liberating our land.”
He continued: “When you truly understand yourself, you better understand your enemies-this was completely clear for Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah as a leader… We believe this path will continue under Sheikh Naim Qassem’s leadership alongside his brothers.”
