Kuwait Crown Prince: Genocide in Gaza Results from International Double Standards
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency, Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s Crown Prince, stated at the United Nations General Assembly that reforms within the Security Council are essential to uphold justice, clarity, and eliminate double standards.
He added: “We condemn Israel’s brutal aggression against our brotherly contry Qatar. Our region has recently experienced a dangerous escalation in military tensions and widening conflicts-developments we previously warned would threaten regional security and stability.”
The Crown Prince continued: “Kuwait reiterates its full solidarity with Qatar and declares that any threat or aggression against any Gulf Cooperation Council member state is a direct threat to all council members.”
Al-Sabah emphasized: “What has been unfolding in Gaza over nearly two years amounts to de facto genocide driven by double standards in applying international law.We appreciate efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. We condemn Israeli attacks on Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, demanding an immediate halt to these assaults and unrestricted access for humanitarian aid.”
the Crown Prince further stated: “The government of Kuwait remains committed to supporting UNRWA (the United nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) while firmly opposing settlement policies and forced displacement of Palestinians. We commend several countries’ recognition of Palestine as a state and stress the need for similar steps by others.”
