23 Women and Children Die of Malnutrition in Sudan’s El Fasher
The Sudan Doctors’ Network announced on Friday that the number of women and children who have died from malnutrition in El Fasher, North Darfur, has risen to 23, according to webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera.
The network also reported that five of the women who died were pregnant.
The Sudan Doctors’ Network described the situation in El Fasher not merely as a humanitarian crisis but as a deliberate crime.
In their statement, the network held the Rapid Support Forces directly responsible for the tragedy in El fasher, accusing them of maintaining a siege on the city.
This follows recent reports by the Sudan Doctors’ Network accusing Rapid Support Forces under General Hemeti’s command of committing horrific crimes in El Fasher, where dozens of worshippers were killed during an attack on a mosque.
