Germany Intensifies Efforts to Defend Against Drones
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Germany’s Interior Minister stated on Saturday that drone activity is increasing in parts of Germany, raising the level of threat.
the German official added, “We are seeking to expand efforts to defend against drones. At the Munich Security Conference in October this year, we will discuss drone-related issues with our European partners.”
This comes as European countries have recently reported sightings of drones in their airspace amid the conflicts in Ukraine and their anti-Russian policies. They claim NATO must take measures to counter these threats.
In this context, after two similar incidents, Danish military sources reported tracking a drone flying over the country’s largest military base.
Hours ago, Danish police confirmed that unidentified drones were spotted above Denmark’s biggest military base. This is the latest in a series of observations authorities described as a “hybrid attack.”
Similar claims emerged from Poland and Estonia in recent weeks.
