Peskov Responds to Zelensky’s Threat Against the Kremlin
Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesperson, reacted to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s threat to attack Russia’s presidential palace by stating that everyone knows how Moscow would respond to such an attack, according to the English service of webangah News Agency, citing RBC TV Moscow.
Peskov said Zelensky is trying to portray himself as a “brave fighter,” but the dire condition of Ukrainian forces on the battlefield reveals that these statements are a bluff.
He added, “Ukraine’s situation on the battlefield and its negotiating stance are worsening inevitably every day. They need to understand this. I believe it is understood internally, but they continue bluffing. Unfortunately, they are not pursuing a peaceful resolution.”
when asked about Zelensky’s threat against the Kremlin itself,Peskov replied: “Our commander-in-chief,meaning our president, has already addressed this matter; so it is better not even to speak about it. Everyone understands what (Russia’s) response would be.”
Last week in an interview with Axios, Zelensky said that “Kremlin officials must know the locations of shelters. They need them.”
He also stated that Ukraine has requested long-range weapons from the United States but did not provide further details about this request. According to sources cited by the Telegraph, he was referring to Tomahawk missiles with a range of 2,500 kilometers. Follow-up reports from Axios indicate Ukraine previously requested these missiles during Donald Trump’s presidency but faced rejection.
