Trump Gives Green Light to Ukraine for Long-Range Attacks Deep Inside Russian Territory
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Kyiv Independant, Keith Kellogg, former Special Envoy of then-President Donald Trump to Ukraine, stated that Trump approved Ukraine’s use of long-range weapons for attacks targeting deep inside Russian territory.
In an interview wiht Fox News, Kellogg was asked whether Trump viewed it as acceptable for Ukraine to conduct long-range strikes. He responded affirmatively: “Use this capability to strike deep [inside Russia].There is no such thing as a ‘safe zone’!”
previously, several Western media outlets including The Wall Street Journal and The Telegraph reported that during last week’s United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky specifically requested long-range weapons and Tomahawk missiles from Trump.
the Wall Street Journal noted that while Trump did not oppose the request and even welcomed lifting restrictions on Kyiv’s use of US-made weapons for deeper strikes into Russia, he made no formal commitments during the meeting. Axios added that Trump had earlier opposed supplying these missiles to ukraine.
Similarly, J.D. Vance, Trump’s deputy campaign chair, responding to questions about whether Washington is considering selling these missiles through other NATO members so they could transfer them to Kyiv said: “We are definitely exploring this option.”
However, Kellogg clarified that regarding whether Ukraine can conduct such long-range missile strikes deep inside Russia-Trump will make a “case-by-case” final decision on the matter.
