Reiterating his previous claims, Trump asserted that hundreds of agents were covertly embedded among protesters during the unrest following the 2020‌ presidential election.

The ⁤conservative outlet Blaze News reported last week,quoting an⁣ anonymous U.S. congressional source, that the FBI had deployed 247 undercover agents amidst the post-2020 election protests-a ⁣claim denied by the bureau.

Following this report, Trump accused these agents not ‍of⁤ maintaining ​order but acting as instigators and rioters himself, adding that “Wray must provide a thorough clarification on this matter.”

In a phone interview‌ with NBC News, Trump accused Wray ⁢of “misconduct” and said that the Department of Justice is currently investigating this issue.

When asked if⁤ Wray is⁣ under investigation, Trump replied, “I think so.I definitely believe ⁣so.‌ I imagine they are doing it right now.”

Wray resigned at ​the end of Joe Biden’s governance and has refrained from publicly commenting on these allegations.

A late-2023 Department of justice report indicated no undercover agents were used‍ during the January 6 riot; however, it confirmed there were 26 confidential informants within the crowd.
