Indonesian Official: 91 Remain Trapped Under Debris of Boarding School
Indonesian officials report that more than 90 people remain trapped under the rubble two days after a school building collapsed in the country.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,quoting Mehr News Agency and France 24,approximately 91 individuals are still trapped under debris two days after a boarding school building collapsed in East Java,Indonesia.
The multi-story Islamic school building in the city of Sidoarjo suddenly gave way on Monday while students were gathered for prayer.
A spokesperson for Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Authority stated that based on student attendance records, it is estimated that 91 people remain buried beneath the wreckage.
Earlier reports confirmed three fatalities,with 38 individuals still listed as missing.
