Hamas Movement Responds to Katz’s Claims About Gaza Residents
The Hamas movement issued a statement declaring that Israel Katz’s comments categorizing anyone remaining in Gaza city as a fighter or terrorism supporter represent clear intimidation tactics. The statement was reported by webangah News Agency citing Al Mayadeen.
Hamas added that Katz’s remarks lay the groundwork for intensifying war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces against hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians in Gaza City.
The movement urged the international community, along with Arab and Islamic countries, to immediately intervene to halt these serious violations carried out by the occupation regime.
This statement was released in response to Israel’s Defense Minister again warning Gaza residents and demanding their immediate evacuation from the city.
Katz claimed that Israel intends to tighten its siege on Gaza City with the goal of destroying Hamas-a goal which, despite two years of comprehensive warfare and atrocities, remains unattained by the occupying forces.
He further asserted this is the last chance for gaza’s residents to move southward; anyone who stays will be considered either a terrorist or support terrorism.
