UNRWA: 80 Percent of Gaza Buildings Destroyed
According too the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shehab News Agency, UNRWA reported that approximately 80 percent of buildings in Gaza have been destroyed or seriously damaged during the occupiers’ war on the Gaza Strip.
As the conflict began on October 7, 2023, more than 370 UNRWA staff members have been killed in the region, the agency stated.
UNRWA also highlighted that nearly 90 percent of water resources and sewage networks have been destroyed over the past two years. The agency emphasized that almost all residents of Gaza have become displaced due to this war.
Separately, on the eve of marking two years since israel’s genocidal war, Gaza’s government media office released statistics detailing its devastating effects. It reported that 2.4 million residents face genocide, starvation, and ethnic cleansing. Additionally, 90 percent of buildings in Gaza have been demolished while Israeli forces control 80 percent of its territory.
