Heavy Damage to Russian Energy Facilities in Ukrainian Attack; Power Outage Affects 40,000 People

Widespread Ukrainian forces’ attack on Russia’s Belgorod region has left about 40,000 residents without electricity.

According to‌ the English section of webangah News ​Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, a large-scale assault by Ukrainian armed forces on Russia’s ⁤Belgorod region and subsequent bombardment cut power for approximately 40,000 residents in the area.

Vyacheslav ⁤Gladkov, Governor of Belgorod, wrote on his Telegram channel that they received a report from energy experts regarding the extent of damage caused by ‌last ⁤night’s shelling in Belgorod.

He noted that power facilities across seven districts sustained heavy damage and confirmed that ​about 40,000 people ⁢remained ⁤without electricity as of today.

Gladkov added that ⁤emergency technical teams are⁢ taking all⁢ necesary measures to restore electricity in the region by⁤ tomorrow at the latest.
